Pin-Ups are coming to Huntington Beach!
Pin-Ups at TIKIS FOR THE TROOPS
Live music, Dancing girls and vintage fun to raise funds for hospitalized veterans
on Saturday, May 9th in Orange County
When American servicemen returned home from World War II, they brought with them stories and souvenirs from the South Pacific. Pin-Ups on Tour is celebrating this connection between our service members and Tiki culture at Don the Beachcomber on May 9th with ‘The Hula Girls’, a live band specializing in blending hula & rockabilly sounds.
Don The Beachcombers is a unique venue featuring a polynesian inspired design including a waterfall in the show room. With a history as one of the original pioneers in Tiki Culture in Southern California, Don The Beach Combers is the perfect venue for TIKIS FOR THE TROOPS. And the best part? This morale-boosting classic pin-up show is free to attend for Veterans & Active Duty personnel as the organizations way of saying “thank you for your service”! *while supplies last
From the moment guests enter they will feel like they have been transported back in time and to another place as they are treated to an evening of live music, dancing girls, and vintage fun. Patrons are encouraged to dress in retro attire to show their support of the project. Greeting the guests will be the amazing ambassadors from award-winning nonprofit, Pin-Ups for Vets. These women include female veterans, military wives, performers, and patriotic gals who dress like WWII-Style pin-ups to boost the morale of ill and injured veterans all across our country. A portion of the night’s proceeds will be donated back to the nonprofit so they can continue their mission of making hospitalized veterans SMILE and boosting the spirits of deployed service members.
Since their first event in 2014, Pin-Ups on Tour has been able to bring over 2,500 people together to support our troops, has been able to donate over 750 tickets back to our Veterans and has been able to entertain close to 600 Active Duty & Veteran Service Members in our nations VA Hospitals. In addition to providing quality entertainment for veterans, our productions have raised almost $12,000 to help support Pin-Ups for Vets Morale Boosting Mission. Our work have been featured on Abc news, Good Day LA, We Are The Mighty, Los Angeles Daily News, NBC News, Fox News and various other media outlets.
Pin-Ups on Tour is always a good time for a great cause. Please direct any questions or media inquiries to Julia at doright@dorightind.com. Press passes available for credentialed media.
