Pin-Ups are coming to San Diego!
Morale-Boosting Pin-Up Show opens in Balboa Park on April 24th & 25th
to help raise funds to support hospitalized Veterans.
Pin-Ups on Tour is taking their show on the road and the first stop of their brand new production is San Diego! In partnership with the Veteran Museum & Memorial Center in Balboa Park, the ladies of Pin-Ups On tour will entertain the audience with their classic glamour girl style on April 24th and 25th. This morale-boosting classic pin-up show is free to attend for Veterans & Active Duty personnel as the organization’s way of saying “thank you for your service”.
From the moment guests enter the the event, they will be treated to something special. Julia Reed Nichols, daughter of Air Force veterans & producer of Pin-Ups on Tour, says “our goal is to recreate the magic of the Hollywood Canteen that operated during the 1940’s as a club offering dancing, drinks and entertainment for servicemen, usually on their way overseas.” The evening will feature dancing Pin-Ups, Comedy, Variety Acts, Soulful Lounge singers, raffle-ticket selling beauties and more than a few surprises! With entertainment & atmosphere around every turn, guests will feel like they stepped into the 1940’s.
Pin-Ups on Tour is committed to providing low or no-cost entertainment for Veterans as part of our Morale Boosting Mission. In addition, 20% of all proceeds from every show go to benefit award-winning nonprofit Pin-Ups for Vets to help bring joy to hospitalized Veterans and Deployed Troops!
Since the first Pin-Ups on Tour event in 2014, the organization has been able to bring over 1000 people together to support our troops, including the donation of over 500 tickets to Active Duty & Veteran Service Members. In addition to providing quality entertainment for veterans, their organization has been able to donated over $10,000 to help support Award winning nonprofit, Pin-Ups for Vets.
Pin-Ups For Vets raises funds to improve Veterans’ healthcare, donates funds to VA hospitals for medical equipment and program expansion, improves quality of life for Veterans across the United States through personal bedside visits to deliver gifts and show appreciation, promotes volunteerism at Veterans Hospitals, conducts morale boosting events for military spouses, and delivers care packages to troops.
Thanks to their partnership with the nonprofit & the production’s unique approach to troop support, Pin-Ups on Tour garners the attention from the media wherever they go.
